Innovation is at the heart of our design process: we borrow from established practises of mass production, dissecting and reinventing them to offer something new and personal which celebrates the innate qualities of these woods.
Working from our Leicester-based studio, Tanti manufactures everything in-house so we can ensure the quality of materials and standards of working practice employed.
With a focus on ecological accountability, we aim to produce products that benefit rather than burden and are appropriate to our time and place. We hope to provide designs that are flexible to your needs and products that will grow with your changing circumstances.
We make informed considered decisions throughout the development journey, evaluating the environmental impact of each and every material. So from start to finish we ask: Where did this material come from? What's the impact of selecting it? Can it be replaced or is there a better alternative? Can it be reused, recycled, or returned to nature? How much energy was used to manufacture the raw material in the first place?
By asking ourselves such questions we strive to bring to you the most viable, sustainable and desirable products we can. Tanti is an archaic English word that means worthwhile, and that is what we’re trying to be.
