Serafino Zani's products are the fruit of a winning union of artisan skill and design of the highest quality.
The Cuisine Art
Serafino Zani has chosen the traditional cuisine culture as the major inspiration for his products, working very attentively on the recovery of those values that have always made the culture of food a fundamental aspect of the quality of life.
Serafino Zani products are tools suitable to prepare the most refined dishes at times of peace of mind, but also for everyday meals, always in compliance with the features of a healthy and nutritional cuisine, which offers new points of view on the ancient art of eating well and wellness extended to food.
Lately the design contributions have been numerous, which have enabled the company to transcend fashion trends, offering an original and diversified series of objects that will make up our ‘domestic landscape’.
Starting with Tapio Wirkkala, the master of Finnish design who has worked with Serafino Zani since the early 80s, through Andries Van Onck and Iroko Takeda, F.A. Porsche, Isao Hosoe, Liliana Bonomi, Marco Susani and Mario Trimarchi, Angeletti and Ruzza, Romiti and Mandelli, Tamar Ben David, Sezgin Aksu and Silvia Suardi, up to the encounter with the great master, Ettore Sottsass.
From the collaboration with the latter the ‘La cucina sapiente e la tavola contenta’ was created in 2004, a full organic range of utensils for the kitchen and table, of which some were rewarded with the prestigious prize that is the Red Dot Design Award 2007.
Konstantin Grcic is the partner in the latest collaboration, which, in early 2007 produced ‘Passami il sale’, a work in progress borne from the creativity of this German designer of recognised international fame.
