Danish designer Søren Rose was commissioned to design the Walker Lamp for The Silo – a former grain tower converted into apartments and public space in Copenhagen.

The Tribeca series is a mix of lamps, pendants and chandeliers, all inspired by the New York City glamour of the late 1930s. The name Tribeca refers to a very popular part of New York in lower West Manhattan, the triangle below Canal Street. The various shapes and designs in the Tribeca series were created in an inspiring creative process where Søren Rose travelled the States, searching for beautiful old lamps and reusable parts to create each unique piece.

Søren Rose Studio

Multi-talented Danish designer Søren Rose started his career as an entrepreneur and creative director – setting up one of Scandinavia’s most successful web companies, among other enterprises. In 2008, he fulfilled a life-long dream by opening a design studio in New York. Today, he is one of New York’s most in-demand designers, with an outpost in Copenhagen.

The studio famously operates a no-hierarchy rule. “If a junior designer has the best idea that’s what we go with,” Søren explains. “As a studio, we worship at the altar of quality and sustainable materials.”

MENU is a Danish design brand with a simple yet significant purpose: to enrich modern living through designs that connect individuals creatively, comfortably and functionally.
