The Tres Collection reflects Nanimarquina鈥檚 passion for craftsmanship, specifically paying tribute to the ancient craft of weaving.

The new Tres Vegetal rug is a new version into the family of Tres. It presents a rustic style thanks to the use of hemp. This hand-spun fibre was chosen due to its biodegradable nature, lightweight yet resistant and, above all, to connect with the passion of the brand for nature.
The beauty of this collection, a flat weave created in India, lies in the irregularities generated by the crossing of the fibres and their different thicknesses, but also in the shades of beige, ivory or off-white聽fibres.

Nani Marquina and Elisa Padr贸n

Nani Marquina

True to her design roots, Nani Marquina launched her namesake brand in 1987, a time in which contemporary rugs were non-existent in Spain. The company鈥檚 second generation was incorporated in 2002, consolidating its growth and international expansion.
After studying industrial design at the Escuela Massana of Barcelona and enjoying the success of her first bespoke textile designs, Nani launched nanimarquina, a brand dedicated to the design, creation, and distribution of rugs and textile products for the home, based on values such as observation, innovation, and enthusiasm, with the goal to use traditional craftsmanship and techniques to create contemporary pieces.
In 1993, Nani Marquina embarked on a daring business venture: she moved manufacturing facilities to the north of India. The further incorporation of craftsmanship and tradition as a new design concept marked a clear difference, consolidating the brand.
Throughout the years, the brand has garnered numerous awards such as the National Design Award and the Premi Cambra a la Gesti贸 Empresarial (Chamber Award for Design Management) in 2005, as well as several nominations for the Pr铆ncipe Felipe Award for Company Excellence. Nani Marquina has also recently received the International Women鈥檚 Entrepreneurial Challenge Award from the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, a personal achievement that led to the 2007 FIDEM Award for Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year. She has enjoyed tenure as the Chairwoman of ADP (Professional Design Association), and of Red (Reuni贸n Empresas de Dise帽o). Starting in 2014, Nani Marquina is the President of the FAD, (Foment de les Arts i Disseny), in Barcelona.

Elisa Padr贸n

Elisa Padr贸n (Canarias, 1984) and her special sensibility for product design, makes even the most complex creative process simple. Her intuitive and passionate approach leads her to experience craftsmanship in the first person: researching, experimenting with her hands, and comprehensively understanding different techniques, however traditional they may be. With a tireless attention to detail, Elisa displays a keen knowledge of colour while highlighting the beauty of simplicity. She directs the in-house design team at Nanimarquina, creating her own collections as well as accompanying external designers throughout their development process.

Driven by a singular desire and a very creative background, Nani established nanimarquina in 1987 with a clear goal: to design unique and surprising handcrafted rugs for people to enjoy.
