Tilda is a versatile and intriguing interior accessory that combines a coat stand with a pouf.
The strength of this two-in-one solution lies in its creative melding of opposites: function meets aesthetics, fabric meets metal, and slender rods combine with a comfortable seat. Tilda works well as a coat stand, taking jackets, scarves and so on in hallways, but also as a valet stand in bedrooms and dressing rooms, where it is ideal for hanging clothes and offers integrated seating. It also features a small, adjustable shelf for storing everyday odds and ends such as smartphones and keys. Like the rods, the shelf is finished in a finely textured powder coating. Tilda also makes an eye-catching, inviting yet practical solution for offices, lobby and waiting areas, and hotel rooms. As the central element, the upholstered pouf can be covered in any one of a range of stylish fabrics and leathers in a variety of colours. A versatile favourite that enjoys the limelight from time to time.
Creativity to the power of two - that’s the formula for success of the design studio etc. etc.. The people behind the name are Inesa Malafej and Arunas Sukarevicius, who have been collaborating since they were students at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. While continuing their studies at the Royal Danish Academy, they set up their studio, etc.etc., which now works for a range of European brands. Their designs have been rewarded with increasing international acclaim and awards. Material and handcrafting, tradition and technical development are fundamental to their creations, the multi-purpose TILDA being a perfect example. The coat rack with an integrated pouf was created for Schönbuch.
