He was born in castello del solaro (bs) in 1960. He studied arts at the dams of bologna. He moved to florence where he started painting in luciano bartolini’s studio, and where in 1985 he held his first personal exhibition at the galleria schema. He then moves first to berlin, and then to new york, where he manages a studio for a number of years and where he begins the cycle of works “mar d’africa”, which he exhibits first in paris, at the galerie montenay, and then in munich, at the thomas gallery. Since 1992, when he returned to italy, he has lived in milano. that same year, at the galleria miscetti in rome, he presents a cycle of works; sculptures and photographs to witness an operation on heads, renown and not, that he also presents the following year at the studio casoli in milano. In 1996-97 with “cielospettacolo”, a work that sees him “married” to twelve bachelors, he is back at the miscetti gallery in rome and the montenay in paris, and, for the first time, in the milanese space of a&mbookstore. in 1998, for “subway”, care of roberto pinto, he dons the boots of others in the “settebagnimaria” work, in which he occupies the show-windows of the duomo subway with self-portraits with sozzi. in 2000, again at the miscetti gallery in rome, he presents his last cycle of paintings, “madonne”a series of papers with monochrome backgrounds partly overlain, visible against a wall/iconostasis purposely built against the bottom of the gallery. it 2002 he was proposed a project for driade: this gave birth to “moi”, a new decor for the white snow plate set.
