THE PAIR Side tables collection consists of three different variations of a pair of tables, with one table overlapping the other to create a contrast of solid materials and surfaces.
The lower base table is uniquely crafted in glazed ceramic, while the higher table is made of matt powder-coated steel and stands light on its three feet. The base table can be placed either beside the higher table, providing an additional surface, or to create storage in between, allowing the user a unique possibility and the freedom of recreating different settings combinations.
By applying a natural material as the soft and glossy ceramic to a flexible and customizable table, David Thulstrup aimed to go back to old production techniques and to stick to the idea of honest design which is part of Møbel Copenhagen´s approach to design. The result is a beautiful and minimalistic, yet sustainable product.
Each ceramic piece is uniquely handcrafted and the glazing - which creates a glossy irregular surface - guarantees a limitless combination of textures and surfaces with an appealing graphical effect.
Far from the generic idea of a standalone lounge table, THE PAIR represents a dynamic and playful pair of tables that can either stand alone or be combined together in many different ways, while creating a strong contrast of solid materials, colours and surfaces.
The metal table is available either in sand-blasted steel or in five different RAL colors – Black, Light beige, Ochre, Pastel blue and Steel blue. The ceramic table offers the same RAL colors choice, making it possible to mix-and-match the two tables´ colors combinations.
