The ANN and SUU sister chairs, two distinct but similar souls designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, reinterpret the classic bent wood technique through a current design with carefully researched proportions, focussing the studies for the design on the theme of stackability (max. 10) .
This new investigation into the functionality of curved wood chairs is focused on creating a contemporary and innovative proposal, in keeping with the image and tradition of the company’s chairs. SUU has a striking rectangular backrest, cut horizontally, and the version with armrests also features refined details to enhance the seat. The most contemporary element is the leather or fabric covering for the seat and backrest. The seat is lightly uand embellished with visible stitching, while the frame is entirely made out of curved beech, specially designed to make the chairs stackable. This design was primarily intended for contract applications because of its specific characteristics, but both seats are versatile and suitable for home environments.
