Legendary, splendid, and captivating, with a shape that conjures up images of an alchemist’s vials, this lamp brings a touch of magic to any interior.
Its almost invisible cable adds to the enchantment, and when seen from below, it resembles the rosette in Rome’s Piazza di Campidoglio.
Stefano Papi graduated in Industrial Design at the university of Rome “La Sapienza”. He presented “Aura the scooter of the future” in his thesis, the design that won the Aprilia Design Prize 2002, developed in collaboration with the Paretti Studio. He dedicates most of his time to product development and film and audiovisual production, collaborating as a freelance professional with various design studios. He also curates the Communications side of various products and concepts for internet sites.
In 2005 he started his collaboration with Slamp, leading him deeper into the company’s industrial mechanisms. He deals with the optimization and innovation of these processes, as well as producing products and exhibition display materials. He also oversaw the production Nigel Coates’ lamps, which were displayed at the 11th Biennale of Architecture in Venice.
In 2008 he designed the suspension lamp “Goccia di Luce”, and in 2011 “Morgana”.
