STIP table (‘stip’ is the dutch word for dot) is a friendly and unobtrusive dining table. The dot refers to the leg surfacing at the table top.
STIP is the Dutch word for dot. And four wooden dots are visible on the surface of the table top. These are the legs piercing through and becoming part of the top. The ash wood legs are inclined for greater stability. Two smaller dowels connect the legs. They create a similar but smaller dot just underneath the top. The top itself is made from birch plywood with a white hpl finish. Perfectly scratch resistant and easy to clean.
The way the frame is constructed and how it connects with the table top resonates in the elegant yet reserved look. The ash wood fits wonderfully to the edges of the birch plywood and the white finish makes for a clean and fresh composition. Ash wood is a strong, resilient and beautiful type of European hardwood. The table is made in The Netherlands.
STIP dining table is perfect for a two to four person household. Additional seats can be put on either end of the table making it suitable for occasional six person dinners. The table comes flat-packed and assembly only requires a screwdriver or drill. Just insert the legs in the table top holes, insert the wooden dowels to connect the legs and use one screw per leg at the bottom of the table top.
