You can still find, in the interior of Spain, the traditional pitchforks known as horcas. The shoots of young hackberry trees are held in a retaining device, while they are still growing, so that all the branches point in one direction. After four or five years, the finished product is “harvested”. Such a pitchfork has been lying around on the Auerberg for many years - just to look at. Then there was the idea to give it a new function. By adding a steel foot that corresponds in its simplicity with the natural beauty of the pitchfork, the Spanish wardrobe was born.
