The distinguishing feature of this collection of armchairs and sofas is the use of an elliptic shape in a number of ways.

As well as being layered to form a base and a seat, it is curved into a backrest, which may be more discreet, more enveloping or asymmetrical.

The rounded corners and the slender, simple metal legs give a soft, light feel to Soave, which has a consistently understated nature. When complemented by the small support table, it is perfect for all uses in the contract market and exhibition venues.

FEATURES
- Reinforced frame for public area use
- Undeformable polyurethane foam of different densities
- Injected flame-retardant foam
- Reinforced stitching with carbon fiber support

Sebastian Herkner

Born in 1981, Sebastian Herkner studied product design at Offenbach University of Art and Design, specializing in objects and furnishings in which different cultural contexts are merged and cutting-edge technology is blended with craftsmanship, to underline the multiform aesthetic appeal of reinvented materials and shapes.
While he was still a student, Herkner worked with the fashion designer Stella McCartney in London. It was an experience that helped to hone his sensitivity for materials, colours, structures and textures. Since he founded his own firm in Offenbach am Main in 2006, he has designed for companies such as ClassiCon, Very Wood by Gervasoni, Moroso, Sancal, La Chance and Rosenthal, while also working on interior design schemes and projects for exhibitions and museums.
In addition, he lectures at Offenbach University of Art and Design and he has won many accolades, including the Newcomer award at the 2011 German Design Awards.

LaCividina conceives and makes collections of designer armchairs and sofas that epitomize the most authentic, quintessential qualities associated with the “Made in Italy” label.
