Slim is symmetric perfection.
It’s the essence of light transformed into luminaire. Slim was created to generate an environment of tranquility and concentration in the workspace, projecting a desired amount of light always. It’s physically able to adapt and rotate in order to fit any direction and surface.
Born in Barcelona in 1948, he studied Industrial Design at the Eina school of Barcelona. Later on he furthered his studies at L'École des Arts et Métiers in Montreal. He opened his own studio in 1972, specialising in lighting and furniture. He has worked with important Spanish and international companies throughout his career: Antonio Puig Perfumes, Ena, Fagor and General Electric, amongst many others. One of his most famous designs is probably the Andrea chair, an elegant three-leg aluminium chair. As well as his work as a designer, he has been a professor at the Eina design school, vice chairman of the ADI-FAD (Industrial Design Group of the FAD) and a member of the Design Board for the Catalan Regional Government. He has received numerous important prizes and awards for his elegant and avant-garde designs.
