Five pieces of curved wood modulate the unmistakable profile of Post Mundus, the chair designed by Martino Gamper that plays with the iconic lines of the historic Austrian brand.

Irony and lightness transform the legs and the backrest into symmetrical elements in constant dialogue with tradition: a play of mirrors that multiplies the shapes producing a sort of visual echo that has Bent Wood as its protagonist.

Martino Gamper

Born in Merano in 1971, Martino Gamper , after an apprenticeship as a carpenter, studied sculpture and product design at the University of Applied Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, then moving to Milan in 1996 to work as a freelance for major studies. of international design.

His works have been exhibited in various exhibition spaces and museums, such as V&A, Design Museum, Sotheby's, Nilufar Gallery, Oxo Tower, Kulturhuset / Stockholm, MAK / Vienna, National Gallery / Oslo and several others.

In 2009 alone Gamper exhibited at Feierabend at the Kate MacGarry Gallery in London, Gio Ponti Translated at the Nilufar Gallery in Milan and finally SuperStories Triennial of contemporary art, fashion and design in Hasselt, Belgium.

Gamper has always been very interested in the psychological and social aspects of design. By transforming disused and found pieces of furniture in the street, Gamper has created a very special and dissonant family of objects.

Behind each of Gamper's creations there is a story that tells of materials, techniques, people and places. The finished product is a summary of all this.
