Piloti is a series of solid oak side tables. The subtle detailing of the table top creates the impression of a single line, floating between four delicate legs. The tables are supplied in two heights and can be combined as a nest.
The subtle detailing of the table top creates the impression of a single line, floating between four delicate legs. The tables are supplied in two heights and can be combined as a nest. At first glance, the Piloti tables look extremely simple. However, if you look more closely and run your hand over the table, you will discover subtle details that make the surface appear extra sleek with its integrated transition to the round table legs. Piloti is made of solid oak, further adding to the table’s tangible, material quality.
The Piloti series includes models with different table top dimensions, and each table is supplied in two different leg heights. Consequently, it is possible to combine the tables as a nest.
The versatility of the tables opens up for a wide range of possibilities and uses. For example as a side table, sofa table or bedside table in private homes. Moreover, the stable, solid oak construction ensures the tables are robust enough and suitable for public spaces such as hotel lobbies and corporate headquarters. The legs of the Piloti table can be unscrewed to facilitate transport or storage, and the tables are easy to disassemble and reassemble.
The Piloti series is designed by Hugo Passos for Fredericia and was launched in 2016.

Portuguese-born, London-based designer Hugo Passos designs everyday objects that are familiar and enjoyable, both in form and use. Passos’ work is inspired by the designer’s ongoing interest in the human scale of everyday objects.
Without disregarding the artistic potential of design, Passos stays true to his view that designs must first and foremost serve their purpose and “do what they’re supposed to”. While paying great attention to the materials, structure and ergonomics that influence the use and final synthesis of the design, his approach resonates deeply with Fredericia’s core design values.
After working as a design assistant at Fredrikson Stallard, Hugo Passos opened his own design studio in 2012. His products for Monocle magazine as well as other works have been featured at SaloneSatellite in Milan and the London Design Festival. The Piloti tables are Passos’ first collaboration with Fredericia.
Since its foundation in 1911, the family-owned company Fredericia has built up a strong tradition of beautiful craftsmanship and innovative design, developed in close collaboration with a carefully chosen circle of internationally recognised designers.
