A strive to reach a point where nothing added nor subtracted will make the product better- with the Norm Floor mirror, the duo stopped at the exact right point.
In the spirit of Scandinavian simplicity, the two Danes behind Norm Architects, Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, always strive to cut to the bone. To find the simplest possible solution without forgetting the beauty of the shape or the details – all in order to reach a point where nothing added nor subtracted will make the product better.
When you look at Norm Floor Mirror, they stopped at the exact right point. A beautiful piece of design with simple aesthetics, powerful looks and fine details. Designed to lean against the wall – or to go, stand or hang wherever you find it best.
A Scandinavian company through and through, Norm Architects are celebrated for their clean, minimalistic designs. Its founders Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen argue that minimalism is nothing new: “It has been the norm in many cultures all over the globe since the beginning of civilization. People have strived for material poverty as a way to inner luxury. Reduction and perfection have been the main goal for both craftsmen and inventors – because avoiding the irrelevant meant emphasising the important.”
The pursuit of purity, simplicity and timelessness is at the heart of everything undertaken by Norm.
