Inspired by minimal surfaces and thought of as a lamp garment, Moire plays with the lampshade typology to generate an elementary volume.
Moire by Marc Sarrazin is a series of modular lights that can be used as hanging lamps, pendant lamps or floor lamps, the two cables that come with each lamp allowing the user to make its choice. Between opaqueness and transp?rency, it reveals different light qualities, using very little material.
The designer took inspiration from lamp shade codes in order to create a simple yet strong structure. The textile mesh covering creates an atmospheric and diffused light enhancing the volume of the lamp due to its transparency.
