The Mamy Blue bed is designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, who reconciles its large forms with a soft and mrounded design. The wenge-stained ash feet are balanced against the bulkiness of the bed, lifting it from the floor and softening its visual impact. An interesting formal contrast for a bed designed to take centre stage in the room. Mamy Blue is half-bed, half-sculpture, expertly shaped and processed by the Poltrona Frau craftsmen. And it is most striking in the centre of the room where its headboard stands out, inspired, in terms of the curved lines that envelop the sleeping surface, by the Roberto Lazzeroni armchair from which it takes its name. The exterior of the bed is completely upholstered in exquisite Cuoio Saddle® Extra leather. The internal parts are in Pelle Frau® Soul leather, Pelle Frau® Nest leather or Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System. The combination of different materials is exalted by the impeccable visible contrast stitching. The centre of the Mamy Blue headboard is made from solid beechwood and poplar and birch plywood. The sides are in moulded polyurethane foam. The structure combines the fir blockboard and MDF bed frame boards with a poplar plywood footboard.
An armchair for reading, dreaming, meditating. As enveloping and sensual as a song. The bèrgere as interpreted by Roberto Lazzeroni. Sensual and sinuous. Designed, with its high and welcoming back, for relaxation and reading. For thinking and listening to music. Its round and agile forms recall the dynamic and sophisticated designs of Carlo Mollino. Lazzeroni enhances them with the expert use of materials. The combination of leather and hide, as experimented with in the “Ginger” and the “Fred”, makes a return. The internal part of the shell is covered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, Nest and Soul, while the exterior is in Cuoio Saddle® Extra. A combination further exalted by the elegant visible stitching. The back structure is in moulded polyurethane foam. The springing of the seasoned beech-wood consists of double-cone steel springs that are individually tied and attached to jute webbing. The base is in wengé-stained ash wood. The “Mamy Blue” sits elegantly alongside the “Montera” chair, the “Bolero” table and the “Fiorile” side tables, all by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau.
