The glass shade is an addition to the Liuku Base. It is a contemporary pendant lamp designed by Finnish designer Maija Puoskari.
Liuku Glass Shade is consisting of a coloured mouth-blown glass shade nestling over an FSC-certified linden wood base in two different shapes, with long-life LED built in. Liuku’s shade is available with clear glass or in two beautiful tones of smoke or gradient violet. Additionally, the wooden base can be used on it’s own as a single pendant, or to create a rows and clusters for both residential and commercial environments.
Maija Puoskari
The Finnish designer Maija Puoskari graduated from the Aalto University of Helsinki in 2009. Before her design studies Puoskari had already graduated as a florist. Her background often draws inspiration from nature why her work is characterised by a strong sense of pure form mixed with functionality and precise finishing. She works widely with various design and exhibition projects. Puoskari has been awarded with several grands and prizes, and her work has been shown in many national and international collection exhibitions and fairs.
