A classic wooden stool that can be used together with the J64 chair, next to a bed or as an occasional seat for guests in a smaller kitchen or living room.
The J64 chair is not limited to a single function. The chair works as a comfortable dining chair, or as a lounge chair facing a sofa. Or with the complementary stool, it becomes a lightweight easy chair. The chair’s personality can be further enhanced by the addition of a soft lambskin or a pillow.
With the J64, designer Ejvind A Johansson fuses cabinet-makers traditions, thought-through functionality and minimalism. The steam-bent top piece and slender spokes create a design that draws a parallel to classic Windsor chairs, Vienna chairs and Nordic folk furniture, all merging to form a distinct expression. This gives the chair an ageless design.

Ejvind A. Johansson
Ejvind A. Johansson built upon Børge Mogensen's ambition to funish the homes of Danes with functional modernism. In general, Johansson was perceived as unorthodox in his methods and philosophies. Nevertheless, his J64 chair pays homage to principles of Mogensen's methodology.
Since its foundation in 1911, the family-owned company Fredericia has built up a strong tradition of beautiful craftsmanship and innovative design, developed in close collaboration with a carefully chosen circle of internationally recognised designers.
