Created by German designer Matthias Demacker, Icon is a 76 cm-tall stool, entirely made of aluminium with a painted, non-scratch finish.
Solid and rigorous, characterised by its light aspect and recalling an origami design, thanks to the combination of triangular geometric shapes, it features a comfortable footrest. Minimalistic in spirit, yet Icon loves company: it is stackable and suitable for all social moments. It can also come with a slim cushion in recycled leather.
Matthias Demacker was born in southern Germany in 1970. He studied Design at FH Niederrhein in Krefeld and at the same time worked with a number of different architects – studios on trade fair exhibition stands. After graduating, he moved to Munich, worked for a number of interior design studios and in 2003 set up his own. He has received many acknowledgements at international level; amongst these, the Interior Innovation Award and nomination for Designpreis, both in 2005.
