The HOLD ON daybed fits into the company collection with dynamism and is an integral part of the upholstered family designed by Nicola Gallizia.
The solid ash structure defines a profile with rigorous lines characterized by a design complexity that emerges in the details inserted between the different sections, almost to emphasize its solidity. The circularity of the cushions, available in the fabrics in the collection, creates a geometric alternation with the linearity of the sides and back, shaped by soft lines.
Born in Milan. He attended the faculty of architecture at the Milan Polytechnic.
From 1990 to 1999 he worked with Luca Meda as an assistant in the creation of the image and the product for Molteni & C. and Dada SPA. Since 1999 the collaboration with Molteni and Dada continues as image and product development consultant. He participates as an art director and designer in the Camera Group. In 2000 he started designing for Penta srl, Molteni & C, Camera Group, GB Ballardini, Takata Industries, Alfredo Salvatori Stone Collection. Since 2001 he has collaborated with Pitti Living for the realization of exhibitions and displays.
I.Dot Award for the Rayon Vert table. 2003 assumes the artistic direction of Molteni & C. SPA dealing in particular with the new graphic project, the concept and realization of product catalogs, preparation of the stands of the main fairs, design and preparation of some reference stores and events 2005 the study of Nicola Gallizia acquires a new and wider office in Milan Viale Coni Zugna 36. It carries out activities of interior design, architecture, product design and image consulting. 2008 receives the Good Design Award 2008 awarded by Chicago Athenaeum and The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies for the China lamp.
