The GUSTAV chair by Gordon Guillaumier has a solid beech frame with backrest and armrests joined to the front legs by a single curved element with a round section.

The rear legs connect to the back supporting their natural curvature and defining their profile with stylized elegance. The seat is available in curved or padded plywood, in the fabrics in the collection. The chairs are stackable (MAX 3).


Gordon Guillaumier

Gordon Guillaumier, born in Malta in 1966, studied in Switzerland and England, graduated in industrial design at the IED in Milan in 1991 and the following year received a master's degree in industrial design at the Domus Academy in Milan

Gordon began his profession by collaborating with the architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni, where he worked on design projects with companies such as Foscarini, Artemide and FontanaArte. Subsequently, he collaborated with Driade, following the development of the Atlantide / Dhouse project alongside Enrico Astori.

In 2002 he founded his own design studio in Milan, dealing with design consulting, product design and interiors. He collaborates with Dornbracht Interiors, Fiam, Rational. He is in Pamar as art director and simultaneously designs his first products for Bosa ceramiche, Foscarini and FontanaArte Schopenhauer collection.

He is currently the art director for Desalto, Ceramiche Piemme and Roda (along with Rodolfo Dordoni and Gabriella Zecca).

His projects are part of the collections of Bosa, Paola C, Desalto, DeSede, Driade, FontanaArte,
Frag, Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Matteo Grassi, Montina, Minotti, Moroso, Lema, Roda, Tacchini, Foscarini, Oluce, Pamar, Azzurra Ceramiche , Kronos Ceramiche, Ceramiche Piemme to name a few.

Gordon's products have received several awards and awards: Interzum Award 2011 (Loop handle, Pamar), Wallpaper Design Award 2014 (Orson sunlounger, Roda), Compasso d'Oro ADI XXIV 2016 (Brick table, Roda), ADI Ceramic Design Award 2016 (Bits & Pieces Collection 2016), Archiproducts Design Award 2016 (Chill Out, Tacchini).

His interior design and architecture works, published by the most prestigious magazines and books in the sector, focus mainly on private residential projects.

Gordon was in charge of the Roda exhibition design project Milan Furniture Fair; Pamar | Palazzo Crivelli Milan; Mondadori-Interni | Milan Furniture Fair; Ceramiche Piemme | Outside the Milan Fair.

He has taught at the faculty of industrial design of the Polytechnic of Milan and is a visiting professor at the Abadir Design Academy in Catania.
