Grade brings a new level of design sophistication to the plastic stacking shell chair category with its subtly reliefed polypropylene shell, recyclable, and choice of materials and color schemes.
Five levels or “grades” of relief are molded into the back of Grade, providing a visual rhythm to the chair’s form. Grade chair and armchair comes with a seat shell in 7 different colors, and has a steel frame in chrome or powder coat matching the shell color. In addition, Grade is also available with a sled base, a swivel base, and a 5-star swivel base. It is also available with wooden legs and a seat pad. Grade also comes fully upholstered. The armchair is suspendable with built-in slide protection, stackable and linkable, armchair-chair-armchair.
Peter Hiort-Lorenzen and Johannes Foersom have been working with Lammhults since the mid-1980s, so in some ways they are elder statesmen of Lammhults design today. They have been an instrumental part of the shift within Lammhults to become a more international company, not only because of their Danish nationality, but because of what Johannes refers to as "that little chair". That would be Campus. Campus has been a great success both in Sweden and abroad. The chair has been given several awards.
Since our beginnings in 1945 in the small town of Lammhult in southern Sweden, Lammhults has adhered to the principles of the Modern Movement instilled in the company by our founder Edvin Ståhl.
