Paper lamp Globe refers to the shape of the Earth. Its porous and irregular structure symbolize soil – dry and cracked. Lamp is handcrafted from pulped newspapers.
Its “nucleus” the source of light, brings it to life. When enabled, we’ll see a glowing and full of light planet. Its porous and irregular structure that symbolize dry and cracked soil, was inspired by the paintings of Polish Grupa Nowohucka. The material used for its creation – paper– is being destroyed, broken into tiny pieces, which, in hot temperature again links into a new, completely different entity. “Paper” can be later shaped in many different ways and in its final form brings an association with nature, its source. Paper lamp Globe takes part of a collection of lamps connected by the common name “Copernicus”.
Paper lamp Globe is very lightweight and durable. It is handcrafted entirely from pulped newspapers and from ecologic, water based glue. All these components, as well as the process of lamp formation, are environmentally friendly and ecological.
◉ Textile cable colour and LED bulbs:
Paper lamp Globe is available with Cotton White textile cable (1 m). You should use only LED bulbs up to 20W, the bulb is not included. This lamp requires a bulb with E27 ending.
