Gemma, the small armchair designed by Karim Rashid recalls the shape of a precious stone: for material and vocation it lends itself equally to both indoor and outdoor use. A new lacquered version is available in the obsidian, majolica blue and orchid colours.
Karim Rashid has become a top designer on the world scenario, creating objects with lines that appear sinuous and almost organic: take Woopy, Snoop and Oskar as examples. With Gemma instead, he explores a new interpretation of rotomoulded polyethylene, proposing a small, compact and multi-faceted armchair (because of its compact size it can be used for table seating) that recalls the shape of a precious stone. With its decisive character, geometric and slightly ironic air, Gemma provides comfortable seating and, because of material and natural inclination, lends itself equally to indoor and outdoor use.
