Organically shaped with stalk-like legs, made with the veneer lamination technique, Flower Mono is a table with such strong design that it’s become a symbol for Swedese.
It’s available in three heights that create opportunities for playing with lines and creating a nest of tables.
Colour, patterns and a simple and graphic expression. Danish Christine Schwarzer’s goal for her design is “to make the world a little more beautiful, more fun, happier and more playful”. As for instance with her table Flower that, with its soft and natural form, is destined to become a modern classic.
Christine Schwarzer was born in Copenhagen in 1970, and trained as a furniture and industrial designer in Copenhagen and in Helsinki. After graduating in 1999 she has been designing furniture and products from her studio in Copenhagen – apart from a year spent designing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for a Danish furniture company.
She also designs furniture for children together with her partner Anne Birgitte Balle for their company RoomMate. Schwarzer has participated in several exhibitions in Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. RoomMate has won the Design Plus Award.
