Scholten & Baijings
Among the typical features of their work is the interplay of colours. Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings see the world more colourfully than many others do. He is a graduate of the Eindhoven Design Academy, she is self-taught; together they established the Amsterdam-based design studio that bears their name in 2000. Characteristic of their special feeling for colour are their ‘Colour Plaids’, which have achieved considerable fame. Their work sells all over the world and is displayed in museums; they have also gained international design prizes including two Dutch Design Awards and a Wallpaper Design Award.
