The flexible and stackable side table Fortyforty is a significant example of Ferdinand Kramer's fascination with variability and adaptability of multi-purpose furniture.

Designed in 1945 during his time in America, the playful fortyforty expresses lightness and elegance despite its strict geometrical shape. Removable and invertible trays for top and bottom of the frame in coloured steel or marble offer a multitude of possibilities and set individual accents. Stackable to up to five, the versatile character of the fortyforty side table allows for an application in diverse environments, either as a stand-alone piece or also in combination with other furniture from the e15 collection. Frame and trays are delivered separately.

Ferdinand Kramer

Due to his socially oriented works, Ferdinand Kramer is without doubt regarded as one of the most significant architects and designers from the early period of modernism and post-war modernism. His designs represent many values, which have only been rediscovered in architecture and design in recent years: social relevance, enduring design, durability, adaptability, intelligent use of materials, functionality, practicality and elegance.

Alongside the association with Kramer’s most important domain, Frankfurt am Main, e15 shares Ferdinand Kramer’s stance: Kramer’s designs are still capable of fascinating their beholders today as a result of radical modernity and absolute simplicity, which never seem clumsy or banal. Instead, they are characterised by a special balance of dimensions and proportions, carefully selected materials, quality and practicality.

With the Ferdinand Kramer® collection, e15 makes some of his ground-breaking original furniture designs available once more for the first time, decades after their initial productio

e15 stands for consistent, progressive design coupled with high-grade materials and innovative, handcrafted production methods.
