A product that finds its place in many locations, with a good, high-quality design that’s reassuring and with clean lines and warm materials.
A piece that will never go out of style. To obtain all this, Martin Solem focused on a simple, but elegant shape. Seat and footrest at different heights, available in bleached ash, stained black or wenge. In the bleached ash version, the seat can also be dyed China blue or white aniline.
Martin Solem (born in 1985) is a Norwegian designer with a studio in Copenhagen. Inspired by the classic design of the Danish, he moved to Denmark where he began working for Rud Rasmussen (one of the oldest cabinet makers still operating). In 2007 he decided to take a design course and was accepted at the Royal Danish Design School. He was very successful in his studies, and has exhibited his work in cities like Paris, London, Cologne, Stockholm and Oslo. Martin describes his work in this way: “as a designer, I try to always be innovative, for me a product has to be realistic and useful to be considered a good design. What I look to do is combine these fundamental thoughts with innovative ideas”.
