For designer Christian Troels the idea behind the CORDUROY TABLE was to create a table with a richness of details to be explored.
The rounded edge of the table top is inspired by the soft bending of the steel tubes, and the angles of the legs make the table top look like it is floating in the air.

Christian Troels has a Master Degree in Industrial Design from Kolding School of Design, and established his design studio Christian Troels Product Design in 2013. He is a versatile designer mastering both the conceptual and technical aspects of the design process. He has a very playful approach and always strives to add characteristic features and personality to the product and make it stand out from the crowd.
Christian Troels has been working within many different categories of product design, from futuristic electrical cars to pink horse stables for Lego. The first result of Christian Troels' design collaboration with dk3 is the CORDUROY TABLE, created in 2018.
dk3 is a Danish design furniture company established in 2009. Their collection combines exclusive classic and contemporary furniture from great Danish architects and designers such as Jeppe Utzon, Kaare Klint, Børge Mogensen, Poul Cadovius and others.
