Square table Die-cast aluminium and tubular steel frame, tabletop in laminate or lacquered white 720 × 750 × 750 mm
The Eames Contract Tables were designed in 1958 together with the Aluminium Group chairs and employ the same X-base. The tables belonged to a programme of high quality pieces of furniture that Charles and Ray Eames designed for outdoor use. The all-purpose bases of the Contract Tables define their character: Pillar, horizontal, universal or La Fonda base. The bases are combined with round and rectangular table tops. Table surfaces are coated with laminate or wood veneer. Low occasional table with La Fonda base available with white marble table top. The Eames Tables collection consists of two different product lines – Contract Tables (1950) and Segmented Tables (1964). Both include complete tables in defined sizes. The design principle of the Segmented Table makes it possible to realise individual table configurations in various forms and sizes. The design of the table bases establishes an affinity to the form of the Aluminium Group, but it also harmonises with a wide range of other chair forms. Eames Tables Programme features Table tops: Laminate surface in white with plastic edge in basic dark. Veneered surfaces in natural beech or Swiss pear, both with solid wood edge. La Fonda table, round, with natural stone surface in bianco marble. Additional custom surface colours and veneers optionally available. Bases with legs made of cast aluminium, chromed, polished, upright and transverse tubes made of steel, basic dark or chromed. Legs standard with screw glides for uneven floors, adjustable up to 15 mm. Segment base: Round tables with diameters of 1000 mm and up. Rectangular and oval tables in various sizes. Horizontal base: Rectangular tables up to 2000 mm long. Universal base: Round tables with 700 mm or 900 mm diameters and 800 mm square tables. La Fonda base: For round tables measuring 650 mm in diameter and 450 mm in height.
