The light circus playfulness animates the Cirque family of stools designed by Martino Gamper for Wiener GTV Design.

The curved element, the leitmotiv of the brand, is inserted into the base in an unexpected way, outlining the profile of the seat through a chain of two or three wooden circles that ring the legs along the entire length. An aesthetic virtuosity that integrates perfectly with the functionality of the seat, available in two heights: the high slender stool with and without backrest, Cirque L and Cirque M, and the stable and proportioned low stool Cirque S.
Also available in a brand new version with circles in brass finish.

Martino Gamper

Born in Merano in 1971, Martino Gamper , after an apprenticeship as a carpenter, studied sculpture and product design at the University of Applied Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, then moving to Milan in 1996 to work as a freelance for major studies. of international design.

In 1998 he moved to London to attend a master's degree at the Royal College of Arts, achieved in 2000, and thus began his creative production, developing and creating a wide variety of objects, from limited editions to semi-industrial productions and site-specific installations. .

His works have been exhibited in various exhibition spaces and museums, such as V&A, Design Museum, Sotheby's, Nilufar Gallery, Oxo Tower, Kulturhuset / Stockholm, MAK / Vienna, National Gallery / Oslo and several others.

In 2009 alone Gamper exhibited at Feierabend at the Kate MacGarry Gallery in London, Gio Ponti Translated at the Nilufar Gallery in Milan and finally SuperStories Triennial of contemporary art, fashion and design in Hasselt, Belgium.

Gamper has always been very interested in the psychological and social aspects of design. By transforming disused and found pieces of furniture in the street, Gamper has created a very special and dissonant family of objects.

Behind each of Gamper's creations there is a story that tells of materials, techniques, people and places. The finished product is a summary of all this.
