Tactile accessories make a difference to the interior, filling it with colours, textures and soft surfaces.
To that list, add design details, and you’ll see what a difference the Case cushion series can make. The cushions are quilted on one side to create a rich texture, making them satisfying to touch, hold and squeeze. Origami-like folds, together with lateral lines of stiches, form two geometric patterns and a chevron motif. Made from wool, the cushions are made with a removable cover that is easy to care for and maintain. The cushions are available in green, pink and rust, and supplied with a feather insert.

Scottish by origin, Kyla studied at the prestigious Glasgow School of Art with terms abroad in Milan and Cologne. Kyla’s projects include interior design, set design and large-scale retail window displays. In recent years, Kyla has developed a variety of techniques for folding labile materials such as paper and fabric, as well as rigid substrates such as metal and laminate. Most of Kyla’s designs have the appearance of a one-off, but her precision-formed products, such as the spectacular Fold pendant lamp and the Case cushion series she designed for Northern, can be made in multiples. Elegant, playful and spontaneous in equal measures, Kyla’s designs always surprise and delight.
