Evocative retro style defines CARYLLON tables by Cristina Celestino.

The leitmotiv of the collection is the square-section wood construction which alternates in harmonious contrast with the rich decorative finishing of the surface inspired by straw marquetry, a sophisticated inlay technique created with strips of straw dyed in characteristic Art Deco color. CARYLLON pays homage to the expressive power of inlay with a contemporary appeal, emphasizing the perfect alchemy between the manufacturing expertise of GTV and the research into materials, a salient feature of Cristina Celestino’s signature design. A strong reference to the secular history of GTV, whose founder Michael Thonet was born as a cabinetmaker. In a harmonious meeting of polychrome proportions, the intense palette selected for the surface levels merge into the solid lacquered perimeter as the contour of the bases represents another specific feature of this collection with a unique character, conceptualized in a rectangular and round dining table and in an original low version, flower-shaped in front of the sofa, available in two heights.

Cristina Celestino

was born in 1980 in Pordenone.
In 2005, after completing his university career at the IUAV Faculty of Architecture in Venice, he collaborated with prestigious design studios and devoted his attention to interior architecture and design.
In 2009 he moved to Milan, where he founded the brand Attico Design: a production of lamps and furnishings characterized by careful research on materials and forms.
In 2012 it is selected to participate in the Salone Satellite and, following this important experience, the projects of Attico Design are exhibited in numerous galleries and international showrooms.
Among these, the Atomizers project, produced by Seletti, which becomes part of the permanent collection of Italian design at the Milan Triennale.

As a designer and architect, Cristina Celestino designs exclusive projects for private customers and companies.
His work also includes creative direction for companies and interior and exhibition design.
On the occasion of DesignMiami / 2016, he designs the collection "The Happy Room" for Fendi.
In 2017 he designs for Sergio Rossi an exclusive interior project and a collection of furniture for the concept of the new boutiques.

Cristina has been honored with several international awards, including the Special Jury Prize "Salone del Mobile.Milano Award" in 2016 and the ELLE DECO International Design Awards with the coating project "Plumage" for BottegaNove.

Cristina is a passionate collector of Italian design masterpieces and a curious investigator of objects: her work is based on observation and research.
In his projects, which are the result of a profound investigation into the potential of forms and functions, historical and contemporary references to the world of fashion, art and design meet.
Fil rouge of the pieces he creates, a defined and rigorous geometry and a careful manipulation of traditional forms: in his projects there are also variations of scale and small genial finds, which play between conventional messages and hidden and unexpected meanings.
