Designed by Studio Nur[/b)Baenk is a multifunctional bench made of clean minimalistic lines inspired by the Nordic traditions.
The bench is made of solid oak with a focus on the unique veins that bring nature inside and give each unit a very special and distinctive look. By adding the bench a shelf and a seat, it can be used in multiple contexts. The circular shaped hole on the side can be used for an umbrella or plant. The shape of the bench is inspired by old cardboard embroidery thread bobbins. Based on this inspiration, the middle piece has been upholstered to provide increased comfort. The fabric is carefully selected to complement the structure and shades of the wood.Baenk is available in soap treated solid oak and smoked oak.
Studio Nur
In German, the word Nur means ‘only’ and ‘simply’ which is the essential expression of the designs. The designer behind Studio Nur, Maja Bøgh Vindbjerg, takes her inspiration from the Nordic traditions. This, along with her understanding of production methods and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities various materials afford, results in minimalistic and simple solutions in form and level of detail.
