The ANN and SUU sister chairs, two distinct but similar souls designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, reinterpret the classic bent wood technique through a current design with carefully researched proportions, focussing the studies for the design on the theme of stackability.

This new investigation into the functionality of curved wood chairs is focused on creating a contemporary and innovative proposal, in keeping with the image and tradition of the company’s chairs. ANN stands out with its more classical curved seatback. Leather or fabric adds a contemporary element to the lightly padded seat and backrest. It is embellished with visible stitching, while the structure is completely made of bent beechwood and designed to make the chairs stackable. The design was primarily conceived for contract applications because of its characteristics, but the two seats are both versatile and suitable for home environments.

Gabriele e Oscar Buratti

(1962), architect and professor of interior design at the Facoltà del Design of the Politecnico di Milano (2003-2010), and Oscar Buratti (1967), architect, have founded the architecture and design studio BURATTI ARCHITETTI.
