WOUD - Flora sofa

Black piping traces sofa’s organic curves

Elegant lines of black piping outline the contours of the modular Flora sofa that Danish furniture brand Woud will launch at Maison&Objet this week.

Deep seated modules slope down into plump backrests, merging the lines of piping together as they continue down to the base. There’s one corner piece and two seats at different widths with low backrests, plus a pouf. They all sit close to the ground on low wooden feet and are available in a range of different fabric options.

Designers Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma of creative studio Yonoh used the idea of flower petals opening out as they grow for the starting point of their design. The pair work from their studio in Valencia and will also show their new desk created for Norwegian brand Northern at designjunction later this month.
