&tradition - Palette side table

&tradition extends Palette table range

Jaime Hayon’s Palette table from &tradition now comes as a side table, with two different shaped surfaces supported by an intricate steel frame.

The elegant Palette side table features one circular wooden surface and one oval marble surface, poised at two different heights. They overlap just enough for a single rod of black steel to join the two surfaces together at one edge, fixed to the underside of the higher tabletop and the surface of the lower. Each surface has two long legs and they’re all joined by a square frame just above the ground.

The Danish brand’s Palette range includes five variations of coffee and console tables, all with different shaped surfaces in combinations of marble, steel and wood. Jaime was inspired by American artist Alexander Calder’s kinetic sculptures, and designed each table to look like a static capture of a moving object.

The side table was presented in the brand’s Copenhagen showroom during city’s annual design fair, 3daysofdesign.
