Tom Dixon introduces blue, black and silver finishes

Tom Dixon relaunches some of its popular products in electric blue, glossy black and space-age silver.

The British brand has stripped its Copper and Bell lamps and dipped them in the vibrant, high reflective blue, reminiscent of American artist Jeff Koons’ blue glass baubles. They’re also available in a new glossy black that gives both collections a slick fetishistic finish.

In contrast to the thick sheen, the Melt pendant has been coated with a layer of translucent smokey black that toys with the boundaries between transparency and reflectivity.

Tom Dixon has also introduced a much larger version of the Bell pendant in chrome, and the Scoop chair now comes with stainless steel silver legs. In keeping with the silver theme, the 2016 Top light has been reintroduced, featuring lamps like silver satellites that filter light through pierces sheets of stainless steel.

These colours give the historically copper-prone brand a chance to reinvent their most popular products in a fresher, crisper colour palette.
