Oblure - Notic lighting collection

Perforated metal encases glass lights

Graphic metal shades create geometric patterns over white glass lights in Swedish brand Oblure’s latest lighting collection launched at Maison&Objet.

Black metal encases the white lights on four flat sides, each with an almost hypnotic circle of curves and straight lines. The white light shines through the slits in the metal, and the bottom edge of the shade curves with each circle to reveal more light at the corners.

Called Notic, the collection includes table, wall and pendant lights, all with the same pattern.

New York practice Bower Studio designed the collection, using a similar aesthetic to the brand’s Mondo range launched last year which also uses black casing round a white light as a shutter to create graphic patterns.
