Normann Copenhagen - Pad lounge chair
Normann Copenhagen makes minimalist lounge chair
Danish brand Normann Copenhagen has produced a refined lounge chair with an airy steel frame that elevates its thick cushion pads.
Created by the brand’s head designer Simon Legald, the Pad lounge chair features thick foam cushions upholstered onto moulded oak veneer shells. The seat cushion is softly rounded on top and the back is generously padded, both with rounded corners and prominent piping running around the edges.
The solid steel frame has a boxy shape that creates space around the cushions, with straight armrests curving down into front legs. The back legs shoot down from the armrests and the feet have little rubber caps on the bottom for protection.
The frame comes in black or grey steel with natural or black oak veneer shells, and a wide range of upholstery options for the cushions. The collection also includes a version with a headrest on top and a footstool in the same style.
