Normann Copenhagen - Steady Table

Normann Copenhagen launches industrial nesting tables

Steady is a collection of industrial nesting side tables with visible bolts at each corner created for Normann Copenhagen.

The tables have aluminum legs and a steel surface, both of which are shaped with rounded corners. When you look at the table side on, each pair of legs creates a wide archway with straight sides that curve into a flat top. The steel surface is attached to a band that runs around the tops of the legs. The legs are fixed to this section with a steel bolt on each corner that the designer has kept visible.

Danish designer Hans Hornemann is an inhouse designer for Normann Copenhagen with a background in engineering and industrial design. He created Steady out of industrial materials that have a naturally cold aesthetic, and softened them with curved corners inspired by the shape of Roman archways.

His previous works include the Danish brand’s upholstered Ace Lounge collection of flat pack furniture, which features a similar combination of rounded shapes with visible brackets and bolts.

Steady is available to order now for delivery in March in either warm coffee or raw graphite.
