Mattiazzi- Primo Stool

Konstantin Grcic's Primo chair now comes as stool

Konstantin Grcic’s austere Primo chair from Italian brand Mattiazzi now comes as a stool.

Primo has a strong architectural presence with a plain square seat on top of four strictly straight legs. The back legs extend up to support the stool’s only curve - the backrest that’s glued at an angle to the top edges of the legs, adding a hint of comfort and contrast to the stool’s straight lines.

There’s a brushed aluminium foot rest towards the bottom of the stool, and the seat is available with a leather seat pad. It comes in two sizes as either a counter stool or a taller bar stool.

The Primo chair was originally designed in 2017, and is the third collaboration between Konstantin and Mattiazzi. Strict lines of solid wood is a running theme throughout the designer’s collections for the Italian brand, as seen in his 2012 Medici collection of stools and tables which developed into the Clerici collection chairs and benches in 2015.
