Favius - Gravity side table
Intersecting marble base supports coffee table
German furniture brand Favius has made a coffee table featuring four slender columns and an intersecting marble base, created by Berlin designer Hanne Willmann.
On show in Cologne this week, the Gravity table features a solid marble base that crosses through the middle of four steel columns in a contemporary combination of classical materials and refined shapes. These bars elevate the circular plywood table top to create an airy space above the chunky base.
It’s available in two different sizes and the marble base comes in a dark nero marquina or a lighter breccia pernice with earthy red tones. The slender steel legs are jet black with a matte finish while the table top is covered with black-stained oak veneer.
