Bomma - Phenomena Floor Lamp

Bomma's Phenomena light now available as floor lamp

The ethereal blown glass Phenomena light from Czech lighting brand Bomma is now available as a floor lamp.

The shades have one layer of coloured glass that’s blown into another layer of clear crystal to create a soft gradation of pastel hues. The part with the stronger colour creates a soft haze over the light source while reflecting colour around the shade.

The floor lamps come in mint green oval or flamingo pink globe shades that are nearly half a metre wide, and they both have a polished gold steel finish fitting. The pendant lights come in eight different shapes of various ovals and spheres, as well as a cone shape with an opening at the bottom.

Bomma grew out of the old Bohemian Machine factory in Czech Republic where they made glass-cutting machines. They factory then started its own brand five years ago , where they make machines to cut glass. Designers Michaela Tomiskova and Jakub Jandourek of Dechem Studio met at Novy Bor School of Glass in Czech Republic and established their own practice in 2012 with a focus on artisanal glass craftsmanship.

The new floor lamps are available to order now.
