Bert Frank - Trave pendant light

Opal glass light glows between marble and brass

Fluted brass pierces through a fat, disc-shaped glass shade in the latest pendant light created by British lighting brand Bert Frank.

Launched during London Design Festival, the Trave pendant light features a chunky, circular opal glass shade that cuts in around the middle to create a second tier. It’s sandwiched between two shallow marble hemispheres and held in place with a tapered brass tube. The brass slots in through the marble on top while encasing part of the cable.

You can opt for carrera marble, which glows with the glass shade when you turn the light on, or a dark green Guatemalan marble that the light can’t penetrate. There are table lamp and wall light versions too, featuring the same glass shades, marble domes and brass stems.
