Allied Maker - Well collection

Light pools in the base of glass buckets

Narrow beams of light pool in the bottom of blown glass shades in this pendant cluster produced by Husband-and-wife team Lanette and Ryden Rizzo of New York design studio Allied Maker.

Called Well, the clusters feature cylindrical glass shades with open tops and rounded bottoms. Each shade is suspended by a leather strap that’s fixed to the brass stem of the LED light above, hanging down like a bucket. The light shines down into the shade, capturing a warm glow in its rounded base.

The Well range includes three- or five-pendant clusters. The glass comes in opal, frosted or matte white, or you can get a gradient from clear or frosted into smoked. You can choose between black or brown leather for the strap, and the stem comes in any of Allied Maker’s brass finishes.

The collection is on show in the brand’s New York showroom, a former dentist’s office in neighbourhood of Tribeca, alongside the new Archipelago range.
