Meet us at Designjunction

At designjunction 2018 we are delighted to present two specially commissioned pavilions designed by London architects Gundry + Ducker.

Visit us at stands C1 and G2.

If we had the pleasure of seeing you at the show last year, you'll know we've got a knack for creating an amazing place to meet. This time, we teamed up with Gundry + Ducker to install two showstopper pavilions in sunshine yellow either side of the entrance, each with inviting arches overhead in reference to one of the defining trends to shape interior design this year.

Pavilions by Gundry + Ducker

For Clippings at designjunction, Gundry + Ducker has made two pavilions from an intricate frame with sunny yellow fabric stretched over the outside.

This frame begins with arches as its theme and gently hints at the outlines of spaces in architectural drawings waiting to be realised; the shadow of a window frame or suggestions of doorways can all be read into the lines that hold the fabric aloft, evoking the beginning of a project when anything is possible.

The full complexity of this structure and its warm golden glow is revealed only when you step inside, appearing as one smooth whole from a distance.

Gundry + Ducker founder Tyeth Gundry explains:
"With the pavilions, we wanted to make gatehouses that, in the classical sense, flank the driveway. They are entry markers, giving the opportunity for people to visit them on the way in and on the way out. The construction itself has a large number of components cut with a numerically controlled router; it fits together a little like an Airfix model, so it can be put together quickly with virtually no tools."

The designjunction trade fair runs from 20 to 23 September on London's Southbank. Come by stands C1 and G2 at Doon Street, London SE1 9PU, to grab a free copy of our Interior Design Trend Report and discover how Clippings can fast-track your interior design projects from inspiration to installation.
