The certifications obtained over the years, such as ISO 14064 – enforcement of the Kyoto Protocol, Ecolabel, ISO 9001, and the exclusive GreenThinking project, logo with which Ceramiche Keope offers its customers added value, giving them the possibility to make reliable choices for eco-compatible products.The GREENTHINKING Project of Ceramiche Keope: Amongst the latest events, opening - in September, 2012 - of the new cogeneration system, which allows for elimination of direct and indirect emissions of the carbon dioxide produced by the company during the production cycle. Thanks to this system, the company can produce its own electrical energy and cover a large amount of its energy requirements. Still in 2012, the company invested in an important operation for renovation and environmental improvement of its production facilities, for the purpose of improving working conditions and environment. Ceramiche Keope has, in fact, totally removed the Eternit asbestos roofing (on a surface of 6000 m2), originally used for the factory buildings, and has replaced the material with modern and environmentally friendly roofing panels. In March 2012, Ceramiche Keope obtained the Ecolabel certification for 4 new collections, which means that there are now 34 certified series, consisting of over 700 items. In September 2010, ANAB, the National Association for Bioecological Architecture, awarded Ceramiche Keope the ANAB ICEA certification attesting that the porcelain stoneware tiles meet the requirements of the ANAB standard for bioarchitectural material.
